9/8/2016 - My first five weeks of my Junior Year went a little bit like this. Fun, Painful, unnerving, crazy, stressful, and amazing. It was fun because a lot of the things we had done, and are doing have allowed me to make more friends, and just have fun over all. It was painful because of the stress levels that I had been experiencing between due dates, and tests. It was unnerving because I did not know what might happen in this new year. It was crazy because we jumped right into the action, and it's new so it was a little more difficult at the start. And it was amazing because it's a new great year that I have enjoyed, and will continue to enjoy until the end.
9/16/2016 - Bolts & Jolts This week has been fun, boring, and productive. The main things that I had worked on was my Bolt "Back to the future", my History research based around Jerusalem, and my Block 2. I have finished my BOLT which went fantastically, and I have met with teachers about my Block 2 and my decision to change it. And I will be meeting with Mr. Martin about my Jerusalem project. I hope that next week brings even more fitment, and I when it hits Friday i'll let you know how it went!
9/20/2016 - Death "Was not a reflection so it was deleted, and it was a dumb thing of me to post it here and I was not thinking straight. If any teachers did not see what was here and would like to I saved it into a separate document on my computer".
9/28/16 - Busy It's almost the end of the Term. And it was a busy one. After working on multiple projects, and only finishing 75% of them I still have a lot of work to do. I have my science BOLT "back to the future" to finish, my Math BOLT "Vegas baby" but I don't think that it is due at the end of the year. I have to continue to work on my History of Jerusalem project, I have to finish my BLOCK 2 "Why are there 24 hours in a day", I have to work on fiinishing chapter one of the book "Beloved" for AP Lit. And I think that's it. That is what I have been working on and will continue to work on and this should be the end of my reflection.
10/3/16 - Stressful Last week was all about stress. The reason for that is because it is almost the end ot the Term, which means I have to complete a lot of projects and get ready for tests/quizzes with in out side classes. So to some it up last week and this week will be a hard one!
10/21/16 - Remembrance This week I have gotten re acquainted with the school, started my new IQB "which stands for inquiry block" and if you are not sure what an IQB is then it is a project based around making a series of questions that were created while looking at a main question. And answering those questions to make an attempt at answering the main question. I also worked on finishing my AP Lit. Work and continued working with both NHS and GHS "National Honor Society and German Honor Society".
10/31/16 - Sick Last week I was sick from Saturday to today " I am a little sick", but I did still go to school on Wednesday and Thursday. What I had worked on was my game project "me and a friend of mine are creating a video game using Unity". I had also continued working on my IQB Question project, and AP Lit. And like always for last I had continued working with both GHS and NHS. I am trying to think of something new/creative that I would really enjoy working on that no one else has done before but so far to no avail. Today I am planning on practicing a little more for a German presentation, getting some more research done for my IQB Question and presenting a part of my game idea "the obstacles" to one of my teachers.
11/17/16 - Forgetfulness For the past few weeks I have not posted any reflections, and the only petty excuse I have is that I had forgot. So this reflection will be based upon the past several weeks, what I have done, and maybe what I hope to do in the future. First and foremost the main thing that I have been doing since the beginning of this month is something called NaNoWriMo. If you don't know what NaNoWrimo is, it is Nation Novel Writing, Month. Basically it's where you take the month to attempt to write up to 50,000 words or more by the end. I will not be done with this project until the end of this month, and more than likely I won't even be done then. The second thing that I have done is I had continued my IQB 3 project, and finished it in what I think is a strong point. I had also continued learning more about the history of Jerusalem, but am now taking a small break from that. And I had continues working on AP Lit. but in a knew type of way. I have also started the creation of a video game with my friend Jacob, but am now taking a break from that because of other work that I feel like is more important. As of right now I am continuing to work on NaNoWriMo, I am working on a new guided IQB based around science, I am working on a Math bolt, and AP Lit. and as of outside things I am working on I am continuing my passion of Live Streaming video games, and doing some small bits of research based around health, and how coffee/tea affects it in both negative and positive ways. As for the future I take back what I had said in the beginning, you never know what the future might hold. Almost forgot, I have continued working as a member of GHS "German Honor Society" and NHS "National Honor Society".
12/2/16 - Finally I have finally gained possession of my NHS T-Shirt!!! I am still waiting for the GHS Shirt to come in though. Saying this going into this week and what I have done not much has changed. NaNoWrimo has ended, and it is now December! there are 9 days left until Christmas break! I have continued working on my Math BOLT based around origami, and I have also continued working on my current IQB, it isn't going as well as I had hoped it would with in the group but it is beggining to get better. I have worked on/completed a larger German project "that was a pain" and I have continued working on my required NHS and GHS volenteer hours/tutoring hours. I am hoping to get a lot more credit/experiance opportunities next term, and other then that I will see you again next week!
12/13/16 - Almost There! It's almost chirstmas break "thank god"! It's been an interesting year, worked on stuff, dealt with stuff, met some new people, so on and so forth. But other then that let's get into what we have been working on from the last reflection, to this one. First I have been working on A LOT of German. Projects galor and just regular work. Secondly I have been working on and finishing my Math BOLT "Origami" and my Inquiry Block "Aquaponics". I have both presented what I have learned with both the Origami BOLT and the Aquaponics Inquiry Block the IB was a lot more in a sense dramatic. Thirdly I have started a couple new project one in which is WAC "World Affairs Challenge" and the other being me reading a mystory book called S written by JJ. Abrams. The World Affairs challenge is an event which in their words "An event dedicated to developing tommorow's global leaders" they attempt to let anyone willing and able to join this challenge learn how to both become leaders, and to learn about a subject they may have never heard of before "in this case it's Smart Cities". With S I was working with a larger group with in MOSAIC on attempting to solve the multiple mystory's with in the book S but I have branched off to read the book on my own. On that note, I will be sure to speak with you guys again in a few weeks!
1/17/17 - 2017!!! It's 2017! Hopefully all the bad stuff that had been happening with in 2016 is at it's end. With all the deaths and just over all the bad stuff that had been happening I just hope that it's all over before it ends up driving me insane.
2/1/17 - BUSY Ever since the 3rd term had started I have been busier then ever, between doing 3 different Science projects at the same time mixed with Math, English, and a small amount of history, plus a few more random projects it's been a bit hectic. Starting with the science projects I am working on Earth and Space, chemistry, and physics. With the Earth and Space project that I am currently working on it is based around to say the least water in space, The chemistry was at first based around one of my previous projects "the aquaponics project", but now is just mainly based around regular chemistry. And for last but not least is Physics, with physics I had done three things, build a car that runs off of a mouse trap, build a catapult that is run off of a mouse trap, and built a cartipult "Car/Catipult mix" that is run off of a mouse trap. Going on to Math, first I had worked on a little bit of Calculus because previously I had also been learning about Galileo Galilee. I will also be reading a math fictional book. With English I have been working on AP Literature mainly and reading a few books "The Andromeda Strain, and 1984". With the "Random" projects I have been working on creating an architectural drawing of a tiny house, and I have been working on something called World Affairs Challenge. I have also been continuing to work on National Honor Society and German Honor Society.
